Kreative Blogger Award

The lovely Barb has gifted me with this award. Sorry it has taken over a week to acknowledge Barb. It is truly appreciated.

The Rules:

List 7 things that you LOVE
Link to the person who has tagged you
Choose 7 more bloggers to give the Kreativ Blogger Award to
Comment on those 7 blogs to let the recipients know you chose them

7 THINGS THAT I LOVE
1. I love my job. I know it's not cool but it feels like a calling and I will be forever grateful to my father for helping me me dream my dreams. It is truly a privilege to do my job and work with the people who choose to have me as their physician.
2. I love cooking. Spending the day preparing food for people I love and sitting down at the end of the day to share that food is a joy. And by the way, I am loving the show Master Chef.
3. I love my kids. I could be accused of living vicariously through them except I have my own achievements to be proud of. But watching them set their goals and achieve them and seeing them grow into their talents and dreams gives me such joy.
4. My family is a large one and we are not all on the same page at the same time but I love them never the less. I am very grateful to Mum and Dad for giving us each other and the ability to tolerate change and difference and still love each other.
5. I love sewing. I had forgotten how much but DD's recent foray into that world has reminded me how much it feels good to have the sewing machine hum under my fingers as it constructs garments of beauty.
6. I love having real friends on the internet. People who get me and even though we don't meet in person regularly, they are still real friends.
7. I love my craft. I have decided that it is probably craft not art but you can debate that amongst yourselves. I love the process and working out how to use the materials. I love that most of the time it produces something beautiful but most of all I love that it doesn't have to be perfect. Because perfection is necessary in some parts of my life but not my craft. And that makes me free.

So now to select 7 people to receive this award:
1. Dneese was my roomie at the creative soul retreat. An artist extrordinaire, I am in admiration of her. Must get out my knitting needles and produce some work for you for the art gallery Denise.
2. Eliza will be my roomie at CSR 2010. I love her quirky work and her big personality. I am proud to call her a friend.
3. Ruth is a beautiful woman both inside and out and her work is unique.
4. Lucy is in a couple of groups with me and I love her work. It was lovely to meet her in person at CSR this year. I hope to get to know her even better next year.
5.Eva is one of the three musketeers who organised the CSR this year. She was busy making sure things ran smoothly but I still got to talk to her and enjoyed getting to know her. Her art is also great to see.
6. Jenny Crossley must be no stranger to awards but I must ask her to accept this one. A truly talented but donw to earth lady. I loved meeting her in MArch and look forward to taking some classes from her in June. I look forward to a re-emergence of captain underpants Jen.
7. Trizzy was the acting moderator of a chunky book group I am in and she did a good job of helping out. I love reading her blog and it has been lovely to meet her in person a couple of times. Thanks for your hard work last year Trizzy.
