slide pendant

I entered a microscope slide pendant swap on paper arts. Only problem was, I didn't know how to solder. I could have used the ranger slide frames but I really wnated to solder.
You tube is a wonderful thing. I searched and watched some basic videoas and then had a demo from a friend's husband and son. It's probably the most expensive slide pendant if you count the cost of the soldering iron and the table clamp and the flux etc. I will just have to make some more to justify the cost. Still, I have decided I love soldering. Looking forward to doing more.
Hope you like it Glenda.

Your pendant is beautiful!
Well done for the soldering, you did a great job. Warning: it can be addictive!LOL
Thank you for your kind words you posted on my blog. My heart is still aching losing our girl Olivia, but, it was time for her to leave this earth & enjoy 'doggy heaven', where I'm sure she has reunited with her old pal Oscar.
Hugs Lucy

I've come back again to say that I keep seeing your pendant in my google reader and it is one of the loveliest that I have seen. Looks great with the lace in the background.

Such a gorgeous pendant - and it is funny as I was showing some friends last night how to use microscope sildes and copper tape (confronting soldering is one of those things I keep deferring ...although after seeing this I now think maybe I should just do it!!)

What a beautiful intricate piece of art. I'm in the process of getting back into soldering with glass and wanted to work with microscope slides but I can't seem to find a good tutorial on YouTube, Can I ask you what keywords you used in your search?
